How we support the environment

Large stone mansion with blue shutters surrounded by lush greenery and trees.

Holidaying closer to home can reduce your carbon footprint compared with a trip overseas. Our luxury cabins feature all the creature comforts you could need whilst highlighting some of the ways in which we can help support the environment such as; using eco cleaning products, energy saving light bulbs and encouraging our guests to recycle their rubbish, we are in the process of submitting our Green Tourism Award.

We have incorporated natural resources too, such as eco fire lighters for the hot tub and sourcing local materials for the build of the cabins from The Flete Estate. This not only aligns with our sustainability goals but also supports the local economy.

Within our welcome folders we suggest a variety of activities, walks, days out to do for all the family, all within the estate and to encourage our guests not to travel once they arrive. This includes exploring Mothecombe Gardens, hiring our Victorian Tea Houses for the day, visiting local restaurants on site, a pop-up sauna overlooking Mothecombe beach, yoga & wine classes and so much more!

For any other suggestions please get in touch with the office and they would be happy to help.

We offer a selection of additional hampers for our guests to purchase including a Breakfast, BBQ & a Cheese & Wine hamper.

We have installed an EV charger, which all our guests can use FREE of charge during their stay. Our decision to install the charger was driven by our commitment to supporting the environment by reducing fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions. As the world transitions to cleaner energy solutions, providing an EV charger allows us to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.

During the summer months we leave a little treat in the freezer from our local ice cream parlour (near Mothecombe) ‘Surfing Cow’. You will see their cows around the fields too.

Make sure to visit them during your stay to take some ice cream home with you!

We are thrilled to share that we’ve been awarded the Bronze Green Tourism Award! This recognition reflects our passion for supporting the environment and our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

As a business, we are continually exploring ways to make little adjustments, and we encourage our guests to join us in these efforts. Together, small changes can make a big difference.

Thank you for being part of our journey toward a greener future!
