    Private Canoe Tours of the River Erme

    We’re excited to announce the start of private guided canoe trips on the Erme estuary. In conjunction with the outdoor specialists at The Bioasis, guests can now explore this unique habitat in the company of a qualified canoe guide, providing behind the scenes insight into the workings of the estate, the resident wildlife and unique biodiversity that makes this part of Devon so special. All equipment provided.

    Group sizes from 2 to 20 guests catered for. Picnic of local produce included. Departure times vary depending on the tide.

    Paddle Boarding

    Take advantage of the paddleboards provided during your stay and explore the Erme Estuary! Two paddleboards are included per cabin, and additional boards can be hired from The Flete Estate Office for larger groups.

    Boat Hire

    Nick Oatway, River Erme at Mothecombe Beach (3 miles): 01548 810249, 07717 677222. Hire a small boat by the day or week, or go on a fishing day trip on Nick’s larger boat. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are also available for hire.

    Dittisham Boats, River Dart at Dittisham (25 miles): 07711 177124. Hire motor boats, sailing boats, kayaks and paddle boards to travel down river to Dartmouth or up river to Totnes.

    Coasteering

    Surfing

    Head to Bigbury for Surf and stand up paddle board lessons for children and adults. They offer both Private and group lessons available.
